SoldiDesign is announcing its latest Kickstarter campaign to fund a charming new way to transform your desk, vanity, countertop, or other workspace with a practical objet d’art. Starting June 17, 2025, fans of design can become backers of the Lovino Pro, an organizer that opens to reveal a soft lighting option, a USB-C charging bank, and a handy space to stow small items in style. Its magnetic closure keeps contents secure while the internal compartments and integrated hooks offer the perfect spot for everything from office supplies to jewelry.

Florence-based SoldiDesign has gained a reputation across Europe for its clever reimagining of practical household items. The idea for Lovino emerged from the success of SoldiDesign’s Ovetto recycling sorter, which became a beloved product in Italy and beyond, selling more than 100,000 units. Inspired by the Ovetto’s shape (“ovetto” in Italian means “cute little egg”) and building on its success, SoldiDesign created Lovino, a versatile, elegant egg-shaped organizer that’s 100% made in Italy. 

The Lovino Pro is a serious upgrade to the Lovino, expanding the organizer’s usefulness. It reflects SoldiDesign’s vision of sustainable, versatile design objects that elevate their surroundings while fitting into a wide range of interior aesthetics. Rounded shapes, bright colors, and sleek lines belie the company’s dedicated focus on recycled materials and durable construction.

This Kickstarter campaign for the Lovino Pro is one of SoldiDesign’s first serious forays into the US market. American design lovers can support the award-winning company’s offerings at a highly accessible starting tier of just $94.50. The Kickstarter will last for 30 days with a funding goal of $10,000.

The egg shape is no accident, but a potent, if playful, symbol. “When given as a gift, the egg has long symbolized good luck and prosperity, new beginnings and new life, for the receiver,” muses Soldi. “Lovino draws inspiration from this tradition. The name Lovino is a play on words between ‘love’ and ‘ovino,’ or ‘little egg’ in Italian. That’s truly the spirit of this elegant and functional accessory. It’s a gesture of love while serving a purpose.”
